Being that it is a rainy summer day, and that we've had a little more action in here lately, I felt it to be a good time to ask a poignant question.

So I wont LOL!
I'll ask this instead.

What's your favorite summertime thing to grill out (or in)?

Actually let's ammend that.

You are having a summer grillout, what will you be having/serving?
Go the whole nine yards, entres, side dishes, drinks, whatever you think would make an ultimate summer grillout.

Maybe we can ll come up with a few ideas for each other.
Who's first?

I don't particularly want to play the food game right now. I'll leave that to Trav.

MY question of the day is this:
Why was I just prescribed medication for dizziness that has a side effect of causing dizziness?

I'm serving sirloin steaks(from the butcher shop), baked potato, salad with fresh vegetables, dinner rolls, blueberry pie a la mode, and your choice of red wine or imported beer, probably Bass or Stella Artois.

Maybe I'll go to Findlay Market and see what they've got down there.

I just wish I knew how to cook. I burned my hand on my assigned night to cook while on my family vacation in Myrtle Beach.

Cool

If it's gonna be steak, I'm going with a strip, a porterhouse or a ribeye. Filets' are great, but I like a little bit more flavor.

Something BBQ'ed! Chicken or ribs!

Grilled fish is good too. Pork chops, burgers, dogs, metts, brats.
Grilled corn on the cob, or maybe some zucchini or squash.

If you step on a squash do you squish it or squash it?

I'm thinking some beer or wine or even just some lemonade or iced tea to drink.
Dessert, something with a summer feel to it. Maybe something with fresh berries (or peach ice cream)
How about some snozzberry shortcake!

As for the dizziness gae, it may just be some of the posts in here (mine included )

Cool

Hey Trav, we still gotta do that sushi thang.

Maybe next week? (actually week after next might be better or we can just wait until August)

Anywho, I had a lobster tail at Embers the other night with a citrus butter on it. (pretty darn tasty stuff)

How about some grilled prawns or shrimp with a citrus cilantro butter, maybe spiced up with a couple of jalapenos. Serve it with a pineapple salsa (sounds weird, but it's really good it's really pretty much salsa with pineapple instead of tomato and a coupel other minor differences)

Ever do the veggies in the foil trick (an oldie but a goodie)

Greg,

I leave for Spain on Tuesday and then I will be in VA until mid September so we will have to make it after that.

Salisbury steak with buttered noodles, and choice of green bean casserole or vegetable medley.

What is this, Grandpa Jones on Hee-Haw or something?
